Kitsilano Farms CSA

  1. There’s a similar and reputedly awesome program in Victoria. We’ve wanted to participate, but our problem is that we’re only home two weeks out of every four. I fear we’d end up with a lot of stinky, rotting vegetables in our crisper.

  2. Yes, the sister of the Kitsilano Farms farmer is the proprietor of Donald Street Farms in Victoria (and apparently we’re getting some of her abundance of artichokes next week!).

I know some people have had success in sharing the CSA share with a friend or neighbour to cover travel schedules – but I see your dilemma. Your little composter would get a *lot* of work!

  3. Oy, don’t talk to me about the composter. It stopped working a couple of months back. They thought it was the circuit board, so they sent me a new one and I replaced it. Still no joy. So now they’re sending me a new motor.

It works great when it works, but it’s barely a year old, so I’m not pleased with its sturdiness.
