I got an email from a friend asking if it was okay to provide my email to Yvonne. I believe my response included something along the lines of "Neeooooooooooooooooope" and that was the end of that. I appreciate being asked at least.

Actually, I'm in the camp of "don't give out my contact information without asking me first" [sorry, Tanya! No worries, but next time, ask first please:)] I don't post my email address on my website for a reason -- having it handed out willy nilly rather annoys me. Happily, I've only received one message from Matchstick, but the fact that my email address was given to them to begin with is Not Good in my books.

I like the idea of word of mouth marketing -- but not when it involves giving out my personal information. It's like giving a telemarketer my phone number. :(

Especially since I'm very obviously with Fido, given my bitching about them over the last few months. :)

No problem :) I'm really not annoyed at any individual bloggers for passing along the info - I'd have done the same thing before I really thought about it after being on the other end. Yvonne should've looked at my blog and realized I'd already been contacted before sending me another generic message.

Oops, I guess that would have been me passing along your name yesterday to Yvonne. I promise never to do that again.
