Go to musicoutfitters.com, and do a search on the most popular 100 songs from the year you graduated high school. (You can do this by searching on the year you graduated). Bold the ones you actually like. (Understand that the word “like” in this case means, at the very least, “wouldn’t immediately change the radio station from.”) Pick a favorite. Underline that favorite. And Strikethru the ones you loathe. Italicize the ones you consider to be guilty pleasures.

I started looking at 1989’s list (yes, I’m old, ha-ha, everybody laugh now), and just got so depressed I couldn’t even continue.

FOUR Milli Vanilli tracks in the top 30. FOUR. I give up.

I think I just realized how non-top-40 my tastes are, or especially how non-mainstream Ithey were in high school at least. I may get around to doing this myself (seems that song memes are the only ones that really tempt me anyway) but I’m afraid my strike-outing finger will get tired.
