		<description>I don't think that's really odd. For a lot of people, the type of music they listen to can tell a lot. Say I saw a profile of someone, where it said they liked Weird Al, Nine Inch Nails, and Bad Religion (three bands I happen to like). 
It's probably safe to say that they aren't too pinned down by labels (I only like punk, I only like industrial, etc.). They probably like intelligent lyrics, and are not religious. They have a sense of humour, and are not too hung up with looking serious. They can laugh at themselves. They don't necessarily care what people think of them. These are generalizations, of course, but I don't think they're too far of a stretch. All that, from 3 bands...</description>

It's kind of odd to think of how your musical preferences are such a social thing in the first place, but think of how many people list favourite bands in profiles online. Hmmm.
