Food, Glorious Food
From Colene:
50 things to eat before you die
Things on the list I haven’t tried yet:

22. Kangaroo
32. Guinea Pig
33. Shark
36. Barramundi

50. Cornish Pasty
And my own additions of things that didn’t make the list, that I’ve eaten, and I think are worth trying:
-Horse
-Rabbit
-Moose
-Pho
-any number of stinky cheeses (my favourites are Gorgonzola & Gouda)

I ate deer once. It tasted like chicken. Heh.
Seriously, one thing I would NEVER eat, even if I were dying of starvation, is SNAILS. They are disgusting and slimy and just…yuck.

Devon: definitely not British. Though I do have a recipe for fish/chips and mushy peas that I might try soon. And a “British for an afternoon” luncheon sounds fabulous
Also j: A lot of people seem to think that a strong gouda smells like feet.

dearheart: Sure. I’ll have a “be British for a day” luncheon. We can wear floppy hats and drink tea from my grandmother’s china.

I’ve had both, but oh, oh, me too? *lol*

I agree, there’s a staggering dearth of cheeses on the list! (Although do you really consider Gouda a stinky cheese? It’s no Roquefort or Danish Blue!)
And of all the things on that list, I could never EVER eat guinea pig, so I’ll never get 50/50…

You’ve never had a cornish pasty?!?!
Come over. I will make one for you.
Also: You’ve never had a cream tea? I will make that for you, too.
You must not be British.
