This funk I’m in will just NOT go away.
What’re your favourite things to do to alleviate a bad mood?
Oh, and shopping will not work (I’m broke), and neither will eating (I’m on a diet).
So lets get creative here people - what gets your mojo flowin’?

Rollerblading. Reorganizing a closet or two. Reading.
Speaking of rollerblading.. we should make a date sometime soon to blade the seawall. I live close enough to it again that we could easily head back upstairs for a beer and some pasta afterwards. How’s Friday for ya?

Hmm. I either do shopping therapy (bad idea) or go on a pretty ride on my motorcycle (good idea, but doesn’t apply).
I could take you for a ride on my motorcycle?
Either that, or I try to distract myself by being social. This is the most difficult, but best solution of the three. When in a funk, the last thing I want to do is go be social… but it’s really the only thing that works (for me) for more than the amount of time it takes to do the activity. So when I can actually force myself out of the house, I’m (usually!) golden.

Spending time with animals! I go to the nearest petting zoo to cuddle the bunnies, watch the baby goats playing, feed the llamas and all my worldly troubles disappear.
Cuddle therapy and/or good sex from my boy work wonders too.
But sometimes I just need to have a good cry (a sad movie is a great catalyst for the “cleansing”) and get all the nasty stuff “out” of me before I can move forward.

Practise for your 60k walk in August? The endorphins from exercising will lift your mood, too!

No matter how i’m eating? I bake cookies, or an elabourate cake, and then give it to somebody who never gets home-made treats. Seeing people’s eyes light up and hearing them go “oh my god!!!” in an excited manner really does it for me.
Uhh, but despite the fact that i’m fat i have increadible will power — that is, i don’t actually like sweets. So maybe don’t try this if that’s something that you crave while dieting. But giving people gifts, or doing something nice for them is a great feeling.
