Well, I’m off to the home of the parental units for a combined Easter/Brothers’ birthday fiesta.

Wish me luck!

See you all on Monday.

I saw these guys running for the skytrain on Tuesday night, and when they sat down within picture distance, well, they were too hard to resist.

They are not good looking guys - in fact, pretty trashy looking and Surrey-Esque (apologies to those who live there). Their bottom halves sported “look ma I cut them off myself!” jean shorts, and socks with sandals. Ouch.

Ok, I hate PETA. I’ve always hated them. Same with Greenpeace. Not because of what they stand for - but because they seem to thrive on causing a stir, rather than actually making any sort of difference or productive means to improving their cause.

But this ad. Oh my God. Have they no respect for the families and victims of these terrible crimes?

I tell you, if those ads make it into Vancouver, I’m going to go “whole hog” (pun somewhat intended) with a can of spraypaint to try to obliterate what I can of the disrespect.

So you all know by now that I’m Saving the Boobies.

Well now we’ve got a pair! (and boobies are always better in multiples!)

My goodbuddy Kyndra has decided to save the boobies with me!

So sponsor me, or her, or better yet, both of us!

I’m not sure how many we need for an “official team” (3 or 4 I think), but if Oasis gets her butt in gear, then we’ll be that much closer!

One problem - we need a team name! Any suggestions?

I just went to the dentist.

My teeth ache like they’re going to fall out of my head.

And I have a tiny cavity that I’m going back to get filled in a week.

It’s not fair when stuff that’s supposed to be good for you hurts your body *and* your pocketbook.

Good Gravy it’s nice to see the Canucks play like themselves (the good way, not the bad way).

And it’s even nicer to see them finally clinch that division title. I doubt it’ll be a cup year, but man that was some pretty hockey.

To all the Oilers fans out there - I’m sorry. You see, I wore my Vancouver jersey today. And my boys just don’t lose when I’m wearing it.

I love movies.

Unfortunately I hate paying for the theater, sitting with 50 other people who are never interested in shutting up, going to the video store, and I really hate returning videos. The video store is never on my way anywhere. I also don’t watch movies repeatedly, so purchasing DVDs is also not anything I’m interested in doing.

Until then, this has resulted in me missing a lot of movies because I just couldn’t be bothered.

But not anymore!!!

On the mall level at work there’s a nifty new machine! (apologies for the not-yet-live website) Use the touch screen to select your movie, swipe your credit card, and voila! DVD spits out, and you’ve got yourself a movie for the night, due back at 12:30 the next day, for only $4.99.

Does it get any better? Oh yes! If you rent on Friday night, the movie’s not due back until Monday at 12:30. And there’s no excuse that the “movie store” isn’t on my way. It’s in the building where I work!

The world never ceases to amaze me in the ways it finds to separate me from my money. And if you’re wondering why I’m not out and about - I’m at home watching movies!

No, not the NKOTB song.

I’m talking about my pedometer. I got one to measure how far I’m walking on my training walks - and it seemed to be working fine. Until I got on the treadmill at the gym the other night.

I figured I’d wear the pedometer on it, just for fun, to see how accurate it is. Apparently not very.

According to the treadmill I walked 1.34 miles - which is 2.15 kilometers. The pedometer said I walked a measly 1.84kms.

It’s actually pretty encouraging. It means the walk I went on the other day that took me 45 mins to cover what I thought was only 3.35 kilometers is actually much closer to 4k. I just have to re-calculate my gait and reset the device.

But couldn’t you see the headlines if I never discovered this? I’d be walking along in August with my pedometer on, finishing the End Cancer walk at what I thought was 10k too soon…
