donating blood checks your iron levels, and they won't let you donate if you're anemic (this is how I found out that I was anemic. But! Some flintstone vitamins with iron, and I'm all good.)

I can't donate blood until April. I love my tattoo, but damnit, I shouldn't have told them about it. Foo.

Well, I didn't tell them about getting it finished, so I guess I'm still good. :)

I still much prefer Tim Horton's (depending upon location). I'd rather have a nice fluffy doughnut than one bogged down heavy with sugar.

Had my first Krispy Kreme doughnut in Atlanta in '97.

Just a thought and I'm not sure if they test you for this before you donate blood, but have you had your hemoglobin checked? A bizzare sounding ticker is what prompted my doctor the first time I found out I was anemic....

I lost my Krispy Kreme virginity last night. I, too, don't really get the point of it. It was ok. The warm doughnut was all right.. but it tasted like a doughnut to me.

We went as an adventure though -- something to do for the night, so it was an all right experience. We just weren't really there for the doughnuts. *laughs*

Yeah, I don't get what the Krispy Kreme Kult is all about. The doughnuts are hot and soft and sugary, but it sure wasn't a life changing experience for me. Admittedly, I'm not a doughnut person, but even so...

Couple that with the fact that my S.O. waited almost an hour in the drive-thru lineup (apparently they have ferry terminal style lanes with people directing traffic) and in the end they managed to screw up the order.

There's a Tim Horton's less than five minutes walk (Healthy! Burn off some calories before partaking of deep fried sugary dough) from where I live. I don't think I'm going to be doing the KK thing very often (if ever again).
