I suggest Fast Food Nation if you want to alter your eating habits.  Or maybe one of Tony Bourdain's books, Kitchen Confidential or A Cook's Tour.  Haven't read either but I'm told they're excellent and his FoodTV show is quite good.

Failing that I suggest you go mud wrestling at a local bar.  They're always looking for participants.
